Body safety showers
Body safety showers are used to rinse and decontaminate people following accidents. They are suitable for use in laboratories and research facilities, as well as for demanding industrial applications. These emergency showers are mandatory first-aid equipment for workplaces where staff may come into contact with hazardous substances, acids, alkalis, heat, flames and also extreme levels of dirt. The restricted, even and, above all, gentle water jet is optimised for rinsing chemicals off the skin.

What types of installation are there for personal safety showers?
Surface-mounted and flush-mounted wall installation; surface-mounted and flush-mounted ceiling installation; above-door installation.
How can limescale build-up and dirt accumulation in safety showers be prevented?
All B-SAFETY safety showers are designed to be self-draining between the trigger valve and the shower head, in order to prevent the build-up of bacteria in stagnant water before it occurs.
What are the special features of safety showers?
The safety showers are fitted with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only complies with the requirements of ANSI Z358.1 and DIN EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely limescale- and maintenance-free, as well as being very robust and corrosion-resistant. The integrated automatic flow regulator ensures a spray pattern that complies with standards, regardless of the water pressure available on site. The shower is marked with the enclosed information sign in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7010 and ASR A1.3, which improves its visibility. The visibility range is 15 metres.
Difference between ClassicLine and PremiumLine
The ClassicLine series safety showers, such as the BR084085, are manufactured from high-quality materials. The green, chemical-resistant polyester powder coating has proven its worth in many harsh environments and is resistant to a wide range of acids and alkalis. The showers in the PremiumLine series, such as the BR084095, are made from stainless steel. The polished stainless steel finish is not only resistant to many chemicals but also offers a modern design for laboratories and cleanrooms.
What standards apply to safety showers?
Our safety showers comply with the standards DIN EN 15154-1:2006 (safety showers in laboratories), DIN EN 15154-5:2019 (Personal safety showers for locations other than laboratories / Replacement for DIN 12899-3:2009) and ANSI Z358.1-2014. Other national standards may also apply. Furthermore, it is possible that company-specific standards may need to be taken into account when selecting a personal safety shower.
