Safety showers for hot climates

Safety showers for hot climates are self-draining safety showers and eye wash units designed for use in hot environments and tropical climates. They are used to rinse and decontaminate people following accidents. These showers are made from stainless steel and are equally suitable for use in laboratories and research facilities as they are for harsh industrial environments. The polished stainless steel finish is not only resistant to many chemicals but also offers a modern design for laboratories and cleanrooms.

In hot environments, the sun or the ambient temperature can heat the standing water in the Safety showers to very high temperatures. This can pose a high risk of electric shock and scalding to the person seeking help when the shower is turned on. That is why these models are designed so that standing water can drain out of the standpipe, ensuring that only lukewarm water is used in an emergency.
The valve is located directly above the water inlet; the drain is then installed above it so that standing water can drain freely. The riser pipe fills with water only when the shower is turned on. The water will stop flowing again when the valve is closed. This prevents standing water in the standpipe from overheating due to sunlight, thereby eliminating the risk of scalding for the person seeking help.
The safety showers are equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the requirements of ANSI Z358.1 and EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely limescale- and maintenance-free, and very robust and corrosion-resistant. The controlled, even, and—above all—gentle water stream is optimized for rinsing chemicals off the skin. In addition, these showers can optionally be equipped with an integrated BR 832 195 eye shower.
Our safety showers for hot climates comply with the standards DIN EN 15154-1:2006 (body showers in laboratories), EN 15154-5:2019 (Body showers for locations other than laboratories / Replacement for DIN 12899-3:2009), and ANSI Z358.1-2014. Showers with an integrated Eye shower comply with EN 15154-2:2006 and, in the U.S., ANSI Z358.1-2014. Other national standards may also need to be observed. In addition, it is possible that company-specific standards must be taken into account when selecting a Safety shower for hot climates. Read more at https://www.b-safety.com/faq
