Frost-protected eye shower have been developed for use in areas at risk of frost, such as outdoor locations and cold stores. These are mandatory first-aid facilities for workplaces where staff may come into contact with hazardous substances, acids, alkalis, heat, flames and also extreme levels of dirt. The controlled, even and, above all, gentle water jet is optimised for rinsing chemicals out of the eye.

These frost-protected eye showers are used in areas at risk of frost and are recommended wherever there is a risk of the installation freezing. These eye wash units are all fitted with high-performance shower heads, ensuring that water is distributed over a wide area. This means that the areas around the eyes are also covered, and positioning the eyes within the water jet is straightforward. The correct jet height and a standard-compliant spray pattern are achieved by the integrated flow regulator, regardless of the available water pressure.

The frost-protected, heated eye showers are fitted with a self-regulating trace heating cable and additional insulation. An integrated thermostat provides further protection for the heating system. The BR 826 095 eye shower cannot freeze, even under the most extreme conditions.

Freestanding, self-draining eye showers are always clearly visible from all sides. Thanks to the valve installed underground (flush with the floor) and the water pipe laid in a frost-protected section of the ground, the shower is frost-resistant. The shower is activated by a foot pedal. Eye wash units with a collection basin collect the used water and drain it away, as is the case, for example, with the BR 305 395 model.

The large holes in the shower heads prevent water from pooling and thus prevent limescale build-up. Dust caps on the shower head protect against dirt and open automatically under water pressure when the eye wash is activated.

Our frost-protected eye showers comply with the EN 15154-2:2006 and ANSI Z358.1-2014 standards. Other national standards may also apply. In addition, company-specific standards may need to be taken into account when selecting a frost-protected eye shower.
