Variable body safety showers
Adjustable body safety showers can be customised (to varying lengths) to suit the required location. The showers are used to rinse and decontaminate people following accidents. They are suitable for use in laboratories and research facilities, as well as for harsh industrial environments. Emergency showers are mandatory first-aid facilities for workplaces where staff may come into contact with hazardous substances, acids, alkalis, heat, flames and also extreme levels of dirt. The limited, even and, above all, gentle water jet is optimised for rinsing chemicals off the skin.

How can you prevent scale buildup and contamination in adjustable body safety showers?
All B-SAFETY safety showers are designed to be self-draining between the trigger valve and the shower head, in order to prevent the build-up of bacteria in stagnant water before it occurs.
What are the unique features of adjustable body safety showers?
Thanks to the adjustable length of the connecting pipe (as specified; total width: min. 285 mm – max. 1,535 mm), this type of Safety shower can be adapted to virtually any structural situation.
The showers are equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the requirements of ANSI Z358.1 and EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely limescale- and maintenance-free, and very robust and corrosion-resistant. The integrated automatic Flow regulator ensures a spray pattern that complies with standards, regardless of the local water pressure. The included information sign, compliant with EN ISO 7010 and ASR A1.3, identifies the shower and improves visibility. The recognition distance is 15 meters.
What standards apply to adjustable body safety showers?
Our adjustable body safety showers comply with the standards DIN EN 15154-1:2006 (body showers in laboratories), EN 15154-5:2019 (Body showers for locations other than laboratories / Replacement for DIN 12899-3:2009), and ANSI Z358.1-2014. Other national standards may also apply. In addition, company-specific standards may need to be taken into account when selecting an adjustable body safety shower.
